M-RACC KE
Modular Protected Tractor Concept for Defence & Security
M-RACC KE is a protection and integration concept that enables the implementation of military requirements – in particular crew protection – on tractor platforms.
STANAG 4569 – Protection Concept
M-RACC KE is a protection concept for tractors developed in line with STANAG 4569 protection against kinetic threats (level 1–3), direct fire from small arms, secondary fragmentation and mines (level 2).
The system is designed for applicationsin which reliable protection of personnel and critical assets is essential. M-RACC KE is particularly suited for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and operations in contaminated, high-risk, or security-critical environments.

Comprehensive system protection
Protected Cabin and Roof Structure
The fully protected cabin complies with the requirements of STANAG 4569 / AEP-55 Level 2 for ballistic protection, providing a high degree of protection against direct fire, fragmentation, and mine threats. Two doors, a roof hatch, and a pyrotechnically releasable rear window provide multiple emergency escape routes.
Mine Protection
The cabin forms the primary protective element of the overall system and is complemented by the protection of critical assemblies such as the fuel tank, batteries and other function‑critical components. Designed in accordance with STANAG 4569 / AEP-55 Vol. 2 Level 2, the system provides protection against blast effects, fragmentation, and direct ballistic threats.
Protection of Critical Areas
Additional armour modules protect vulnerable vehicle sections against fragmentation, direct fire, and the effects of explosive detonations. The protection architecture meets the requirements of STANAG 4569 Level 2 mine protection and ensures a high level of protection for vehicle and crew in exposed operational scenarios.
Protective Frame and Glass
Ballistic glazing in line with STANAG 4569 Level 2 is integrated into a modular transparent armour frame system, providing reliable protection against ballistic and fragmentation threats. The modular design enables rapid replacement of damaged glazing elements, thereby reducing both maintenance effort and platform downtime.
Militarisation of the Overall Platform
The fuel system and engine control have been adapted to meet military operational requirements, enabling single-fuel capability without the use of an AdBlue system.
The extended EE architecture includes an additional 24 V on‑board power system with separate battery supply, the integration of military lighting equipment, and the control and override of selected civilian vehicle functions.
